Presumably "cut down in its prime" was too big too?

I hope not - it's got his ashes in it!

As a memorial, his friends and colleagues left messages on post it's stuck to the front of it (or posted through the floppy drive slot). And apparently the "Beam me up, Scotty" line was one of the last things that he said.

    No, it's not.

I can change mine back to the "lightbulb" that I had the other day if that would cheer you up.

    Do you think it is?
    Poll?

I think GP's assertion is ludicrous - there is a long and honourable tradition in British visual humour of using gravestones. They turn up pretty regularly in the cartoons in Private Eye for example, and there have been innumerable examples in TV shows, such as the episode of One Foot in the Grave where a friend of Victor Meldrew surprises him with an unexpected gift - a ready-engraved headstone with the date of death left blank.

    Nope.

I normally have avatars switched off, but, on this occasion, I turned them on to see what all the fuss is about.

    Very good.

Although administrator didn't post in TPD I've tracked down a post in one of those other threads which refers to the closure of TPD as a short term measure.

If it had been posted in TPD, people might have known what was going on
