    I did it as a fixed price jobbie as it was only a part of the contract.
    charged at *2 normal rate

    If you signed up for working abroad at the beginning of the contract, it's your daily rate* as usual.

    You did negotiate for a half-day/day's rate for Sunday travelling, didn't you?

    If the entire contract is abroad, up your day rate.

    If it's a one off, charge for time travelling + day rate

    If you have to go abroad for a contract, for a period of time, how do you charge the customer.

    Obviously you are away from home for 24 hours per day and it is unsociable and inconvenient.

    How do you charge to gain recompense from the client for this.
