Afraid this problem spans all cultures vetran. Studies have shown it is extaordinarily difficult in the UK for anyone to move above their socio-economic (yuck!) class. That applies just as much to whites in Gateshead, Glasgow or the Welsh valleys now that the traditional manufacturing or mining roles have gone.

Most minorities come from relatively unskilled backgrounds, they were imported to do the jobs whites didn't want to do. The specific problem is that they can often perceive this much more general problem to be more to do with exclusion than it actually is.

No I'm not suggesting that its all societies fault, however if you combine an acceptance / glorification of criminality in their peers, poverty and racism then its difficult to break out. Look at the first / second generation hispanics/Cubans in the states.

The marginalised thing always comes up. It would be stupid to pretend ethnic minorities are never discriminated against, but it certainly cannot be the main factor. If it were, how, for example, would it explain that the economic performance of Pakastanis is only slightly behind whites on most measures while Bangla Deshis are way behind? How is it that Ugandan Asians, many of whom are also Muslim, do better than the average white? The plain fact is that we let in far too many, like so many from Bangla Desh, who never had the skills to succeed in our society in the first place.

As for crime, it does seem odd that, if the behaviour of these poor marginalised individuals is solely the result of white racism and exclusion in the UK, it so often turns out to be a perfect mirror of their own defective societies back home. Like DG says, does anyone seriously think that attitudes or habits change instantly they cross our borders?

It's societal. If you don't believe that some societies are more violent than others, go live in South Africa/actually any part of Africa. The problem is that the immigrants don't leave their attitudes behind them when they come here, witness all the non-christians coming here expecting us to become islamic/hassidic/whatever (actually it's just extremist Islam I loathe, hate and detest but you can't really pick out just one or that would be 'unfair').
I've said it before, if you want to live in a country with shira law, **** off out of Britain and go live in one, don't import your barbarism here.

Not that I subscribe to this "all blacks are violent" crap pedded by some bloke here a few months back and I argued against that. Common observation and history do not support that conclusion. Yet, anyhow.

What I do say is that certain societies (not races) are so utterly violent and criminal and defective we should examine very carefully the background of anyone from them before admitting them. I would certainly include in that list Somalia, Jamaica, Albania and Romania.

And don't anyone come out with that crap about British society having its problems too. True, but they don't come close to what those you get in some third world countries. And the main fact is we do not need averagely criminal people. We are stuck with our own rubbish, but this is our country and we have no duties to the citizens of others. We have a right to demand that any immigrants are much better than us.

They shot one of the WPC's (the one that survived) in the back. Probably in self defence. She may have shouted at them in a non muslim way.

But they probably suffered terrible hardship as children and have to live in this racist christian country where they are not given any opportunities so I would hope they are let off and given a large community fund as compensation for the appalling lives they have had to endure in Britain.
