    When Kirk Douglas's son Eric was first trying to establish himself as a standup comedian, he played a club in New York, but didn't do a very good job of it.

    The crowd grew increasingly restless and soon started heckling vigorously. Losing his temper, he shouted "Don't you know who I am? I'm Kirk Douglas's son!"

    A member of the audience immediately stood up and shouted "I'm Kirk Douglas's son!" Then another... and another... and another...
