I don't mind the fireworks and it gets the cats used to them before Nov 5th.

Agree mate. Diwali I understand, but people have them for ordinary parties now, on any day, and some seem to think that midnight is a suitably apt time to start letting them off.

I think individual councils are taking a stance due to the number of complaints. Most are going for the date restrictions for sales accept for the organised events.

Fireworks
