Yes he deliberately drugged himself with booze.

Now, isn't there a chart you could look at that will predict the stock market?

That's like the questions on the US immigration form

"Are you a terrorist or drug dealer"

    and

"Have you ever been involved in genocide in Nazi Germany?"

mmm. wonder how many people tick yes to that one?

I see that last Wednesday he put out a press release stating that the Prime Minister had "lost the plot". This will be the retribution. Politics is such an honourable profession.

I don't think we can blame Brown for this one - according to the article the incident happened over two years ago.

I wonder why it came to light this weekend?

The main question that should be asked if the baggage was packed by the person who is flying, ie someone did not ask to bring in a bomb on an airplane. These days it is of lesser importance since main terrorists are willing to die there and then.

If the answer is "none" then why do check-in staff "have" to put in more effort to check?
The guy who says he's got a bomb may or may not be joking. The probability of joke is very high, but small risk of a bad event is worth minimising.

In some security services it is compulsory to investigate further if person tries to talk to office, or joke etc.

Even so, the security staff will have to expend quite a bit of resources to double check. You can't seriously expect them to wave people through after they have admitted holding a bomb etc.

And this detracts them from the real threats.

Indeed having walked a little too quickly( a medium walking pace) towards a rather large security guard at Chicago to speed up the line I was tired but not emotional, I was rewarded by the strap on his holster being flipped. I wasn't feeling too jovial after that.

    they don't do humour!
