I have this irrational yearning for a brown Rover 2000. Does that count?

Oh well. Thanks for that everyone, that's a lot of help.
I can see that turning into Victor Meldrew is an inevitable part of the ageing process that I should learn to embrace.
Now, I have received a letter from the council telling me that they are fining me for not sorting my rubbish into different coloured bins. I don't believe it!

I think you are doomed. There's nothing wrong with long hair on a man
Have you taken out a funeral expenses plan yet?

This is the first time that I have ever thought or said such thing.
My Dad used to say similar things when I was growing up, why have I started this now?
I have always liked my rock music so men with long hair are perfectly normal in my eyes so I am more than a little surprised that this happened.
I am in my mid-thirties which I don't think is very old so should I be expecting this change in attitudes to happen and is it a normal part of the ageing process?

Cardigans are getting better these days aren't they? Hush puppies may not look that good but they really are comfy.
