With a happy path ( untested with jboss 5 using annotations and EJB 3 ) I could knock that up in a week. easy. Remove annotations and going with the clients wish to go back to JBoss 4 (why the **** would you want to go back to that tulip) deployment files, setting up queues etc I would tell a client 20 days.

Here is what's actually a fairly decent spec, for a project on elance. It sounds like a pretty meaty chunk of code and apart from the EJB 2.1 requirement I'd be interested, except for the suggested price (in white below, select to see)...

$500-1000 (£300-600)

...I'd be interested what you think this would actually take in terms of hours/£. I doubt I'll be bidding on this project
