Which raises an interesting point - who are the biggest piss-heads, the young or the old?
I notice a disturbing increase in packs of sozzled old, red-faced, craggy old codgers getting wasted at any time of the day. Good old Britain, a pissed-up national disgrace!

Blame the drink-driving laws, New Lie for their high taxes and thus less disposable income and of course high unemployment exacerbated by uncontrolled immigration. Beer at nearly 3 quid a pint is a disgrace and people are rightly refusing to be ripped off !!

I dislike Wetherspoons pubs as they tend to have very few patrons you'd actually want to talk to.
I'd rather pay a bit more for my beer and not be bothered by pensioners talking about how "this wouldn't have happened under the Tories".

Soon the only pubs will be Wetherspoons Lloyds and All Bar Non. As 50 + pubs shut each week these Emascualted faceless monstrosities are expanding.

Frozen food is safer and quite often fresher than the alternative as long as it is defrosted properly, so I have no problem with that.

That doesn't sound different to any other chain really. Buying close to expiration date is fine if they sell it quickly enough, and the microwave is hardly unusual.

Having been back of house in WS pubs I can happily state that I will never eat in one, and only drink bottled stuff.
As BBG said the beer is close to expiry date, the majority of the food is microwave then grill, frozen pre packed portions.
In the 6 I saw 5 had severe beer fly issues due to lack of basic cleanliness.
As ever: pay cheap get cheap
