I only got into F1 this season... apart from knowing he's a former champion I am totally unclued up on him. I'm struggling to see how he can get fit in time, especially with stupid ban on being allowed to drive the cars between races.

Oh, he'll do it alright...

He's been looking like a hungry wolf on the pit wall for these last 2 months...

He had a bike accident in January and they're a bit worried about his neck, but you can bet your sweet patoutie that he's been training to get rid of the injury.

He's like Hermann Maier - you just can't stop these Teutonic types...

What is the difference between cheating and pushing the rules to the limit?

You could ask much the same question about MPs expenses. There comes a point where you are arguably still within the rules but where most reasonable people can see you are a cheating git. His attempt to ram Jacques Villeneuve's Williams Renault when he realised the game was up in 97 was probably the best example - he knew he wasn't going to win, but tried to take Villeneuve out - it wasn't the first time he tried it - it worked when he did it Damon Hill in 94, but luckily he failed second time around. He was undoubtedly the best driver at the time, but if he couldn't win by driving he was happy to ram others.

He was good but I think he was overrated also.
There`s a saying, to win you first of all have to beat your team mate and this can be the hardest because they have the same car as you. In Schumi`s case, his team mate was always playing second fiddle, schumi`s rear guard etc. When you have a sacrificial lamb, the championship points and wins etc come much easier.

Other teams will back a driver after x races because it makes sense (depending on how many points each driver has) but Schumi`s team mates were always playing second fiddle even before the championship started.

I think Brawn might be doing a similar thing with Button and Barrichello right now as some things have gone wrong for barrichello and I think it`s not just down to bad luck. Ross Brawn was always working with Schumi in the past.

He'll either struggle and tarnish his excellent reputation (for the driving).

Or he'll win a race or two (despite being 40) and make those youngsters look like muppets.

Either way, it'll be great to watch...

With Ferrari and McLaren now doing well, seeming Schumacher and Hamilton duelling together should be good to watch...
