Not so. I've barely left the bed for 3 days now, I felt like dying yesterday, and I couldn't sleep at all last night as I was coughing every 20 frikkin seconds. Glad it's happened so I can just get it over with, but I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I think I'd twat someone if they implied it was a sickie when I get back, assuming this clears up by Monday. If your colleague definitely had it I wouldn't mock unless you want to be wearing a standard-issue corporate coffee.
Exactly my point. People who HAVE swine flue have my sympathy.

Said colleage has not had anything like this, it was blatantly a childcare run out of holiday blag!

Yes of course. But Im perm at the moment, so frankly Im dying and would be rude of me infect the whole building. If I was contracting, I would have stayed in the room and the next day, been the only one still there!

    started a topic So-called Swine Flu victim….

    So-called Swine Flu victim….

Lazy colleague at work, often conveniently ill on Friday afternoons booked Friday to Monday off for Lattitude last week, only needing Friday off as was back home on Sunday.

Called us on Monday morning cancelling her holiday declaring swine flu, so changing to sick day banking holiday and off sick for the rest of the week.

Call me a cynic, but, sounds very convenient being well enough for a weekend break to suddenly get ill when due to come back to work!

She is now back in the office. I am not worried one iota about getting the pandemic as I know full well she has pulled a fast one!

    Any other ‘swine flu’ scams?
