    Perfect.
What the "Chinese Powers That Be" are doing is stamping down on any civil unrest anywhere in China. They (the CPTB) are tulip scared of losing their grip on the Chinese people so have to be seen to be strong.

Not everyone in China wants to be a Communist.

Or maybe the disinterest is because the conflict is so remote and nobody has a clue what it is about.

At least with Tibet they THINK they do. That nice Dalai Lama, those lovely peaceful Buddhists rescuing earthworms in that film with Brad Pitt. The fact is that Buddism too has its nasty intolerant side but let's gloss over that, everyone knows the Chinese are horrible, must be all their fault.

Personally I think it is ridiculous and unnatural to be expected to feel major concern about every problem going on in a world of 6bn people. Immediate aid in event of a natural disaster, fine, but when it comes to longstanding conflicts there usually not a damn bit of good that outsiders with not the remotest understanding of the problems can do except make themselves feel good.

    Seriously.

Speaking of which - dont miss this :

Dr Who's David Tennant will be joined by all the 10 other incarnations of the Time Lord for a special one-off edition of the BBC One programme.

Read all about it here : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...-off-show.html

PS Dim Prawn - as you hail from Swndon perhaps you would be perfect to play Bille Piper ?
