The Laser is a wonderful dingy, but it's not a good design for two people. It's also not that forgiving if there's more than a breeze, unless you're fairly experienced.

You need HM Government's patented random large number generator; a boon for the modern project manager.

    Brilliant M. Enjoy it!

I'm a crap diver - I love it, but lack the physical agility (and to be honest, fitness) to really go for it.

    Not so quick:

"An official heatwave is likely to be declared in Britain today, with temperatures in the south likely to hit 33C (91.4F) later this week.

If officials raise the threat level from amber to red, measures including putting social services and hospitals on alert for a wave of casualties of scorching days and sleepless nights will come in to force."

There is only one way to put a stop to this madness. We must nuke the sun. NOW.

Not sure what class it is.

This is not a competitive event, you understand, just a couple of old land-lubbers arsing around in a very small, very old, boat.

I try to avoid actual capsising. I no longer smoke, but in my teens I really got pissed off when the boat was capsised and my fags were soaked

What is needed is some form of personal micro-climate which I can control at a whim...

    I love warm weather.

Britain is a frozen, rainy shytehole for 9 months of the year, and when the sun peeps out, people go bonkers complaining about it.

    Phew! What a scorcher!

WHS. Looking forward to sitting in the garden under the apple tree, watching Winbledon and sipping a Pimms. Bliss
