    Not very much difference at all, if the past couple of days are anything to go by.

    They both split off from the PIRA at different times, for the same reason (wanted to keep on fighting). I think there was a bit in the original IRA constitution that says that any IRA faction that joins in peace talks isn't a legitimate faction any more, which is how these groups claim a bit of legitimacy, but they've got hardly any support.
