Judging by the writing style I'm guessing that Latte is merely Russell once again bobbing to the surface.

Bucket Trolling
for those that asked its the practice of attaching a bucket or similar anchor to slow your boat down while fishing. You can even put bait in the bucket to attract victims.
I have absolutely no idea how I know that phrase (must have been some drunken discussion with an avid fisherman), the description just seemed to fit.

I stand by what I posted, I still reckon you're one of MF's rapidly depleting list of sockies.

Thanks for the sensible post.
I am in Networking. The original post was 4 years ago, I had finished a contract with a decent rate and the market was quiet and I was offered £160. I asked here (thinking it was full of like-minded, helpful contractors) if many people frequently negotiated far above the upper end of the rate on offer.
I ended up doing the contract for 2 months at £160 pd. It was a real bad rate but the work was 15 mins from home and I gained exposure to some new technology so not the end of the world.
Cheers,
Sean

Hth, cretin.
Btw, its isn't it's
I am the OP. Sure I don't come here often and who can blame me. For every helpful post there are 10 useless ones.
The 'crap' I posted today in another thread was simply looking for feedback on some umbrella companies. 10 or 20 replies later, no actual feedback.
Too many keyboard warriors spouting off. (amongst the odd helpful reply for which I am grateful).
