Apart from Java/J2EE, I have specialised skills like websphere portal server MQ broker and MQ/Tibco and banking/insurance background. I have been contracting close to 5 years. I do get calls for the roles across UK, but I am currently looking only london/M25 area due to my personal situation.Any suggestions to improve my chances in securing interview ?

Happy for you - a dozen roles worth applying for is OK

Sad for you - never good to know you've blown it at interview - but chalk it up to experience.

£400 per day - No comment (as I don't know if you consider that a good or bad rate - wether you blew it or not)

Well obviously that only has meaning if we knew how long you had been contracting....

PS - Welcome on board the board.

You don't ask a question either, what are you after? A shoulder to cry on?
