Oh great I thought, two men holding each end of a large pane of glass, so I stopped to watch the hilarity ensue
Two blokes, glazier's van, huge piece of glass.
They lifted the glass off the side of the van. The old boy in front had gloves on. The lad behind did not. Sadly, as they walked off, the lad behind did a Diver. The glass had slid through his fingers. He was across the road and about 100 to 150 feet away but I saw the blood spraying out of his hand. He was screaming like a girl (so probably a Spurs fan).
He dropped his end of the glass (well, as much as 'ceased to have anything to hold on with' counts as letting go) but it didn't break. The old boy was putting his end down when my bus came and I got on it and that was that.
I didn't want to be told off for being late home for my dinner.

I did see a similar scene in Glasgow when one of the guys dropped the very large shop front window replacement they were trying to get on to the trolly. The glass literally exploded, shards travelling more than 30 yards in all directions, chaos and screaming and an ambulance called for the guy who dropped it onto his foot.
Not very funny in real life

Nope
Nope
I was merely commenting on the fact that though I have seen many a comedy scene involving two men and a large sheet of glass, I have never seen it in real life.

How disappointing - I thought that this was going to be a thread about that top television show with Philip Scofield and Fern Britton.

Unfortunately life is normally more normal than fiction.
(I presume you couldn't find a brick then? But I suppose they don't have internet access in a police cell).
