They're just ****'s ... you know it, i know it... it's their business model. Change every process, don't let the punter get used to anything, and just when they think it can't get any cheaper or worse.. change something else.

That way everybody says.. yeah, they're 'orrble, but soo cheap, i'lll wear it.

Feb 3rd.. Stanstead is closed (general refund for all)
Feb 4th.. London is snowed in; no tube, national rail, buses - na public transport, althugh stanstead is open - if you can get there.

    London-Glasgow

so... after 1:30mins waiting for southern rail to take us from Wandsworth Common to Victoria (ext. stansted) we ditch em and DIG the car out.. DRIVE like mad frozen ****ers towards the Ryanair checkin desk.. only to arrive 10 - TEN, minutes >after checkin. i'm already online checkied in, as is my son as we have Euro passports.. my partner on her Aussie passport with residency is unableto check in online to fly internally so... no, sorry.. I know you have no baggage, and the flight doesn't leave for an hour.. but NO - you had three hours to get all of south east UK's public transport working - so **** orf

    *****

    we drove

    stansted to Glencoe - 6hours.

If they've bumped you off a flight, you're entitled to compensation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europea...ation_261/2004 is the rule you are after. It is notoriously difficult to enforce, though - but you could probably chase them through the small claims court.

Been flying back and forth between Spain and bristol on Easyjet for the last 8 months with no problems bar the odd 30 minute delay.

Now Easyjet have changed the schedule to Friday morning so I have to take a day off if I want to come home for the weekend, so I decided to go Ryanair into Gatwick on the evening flight instead and get the train back to Bath - about 7 hours door to door, but worth the hassle as I don't have to take any time out.

Just logged into hotmail to print out my flight details and there waiting for me is an email telling me that the flight has been rescheduled to 9 am tomorrow (and this has nothing to do with snow because the mail is dated 26 Jan). So now I've got to take a whole day off anyway (if client lets me), no doubt spending hours on draughty railway stations waiting for delayed trains and, since I reservered a seat on the 9pm train, I'm sure I'll be made to fork out an exhorbitant amount for another train ticket.

The worrying thing is that I normally check in online the same day as my flight and rarely check my hotmail account. If I'd done that this time I wouldn't have been going anywhere because the fight would have already left!
I had a similar problem with Easyjet. I paid the more than the cost of a BA flight to get the time I wanted. The flight was "delayed" but Easyjet did not even have the licence to fly at the time of day! This link may help, you should get some money back. http://www.auc.org.uk/

If people are prepared to pay for "cattle class", why are they so suprised when they are treated as "cattle" ?

I anticipate and expect lower standards when I fly Sleazyjet or RA. It goes with the territory.

If I don't want to moan, then I pay more for another carrier.

    Simple, see ?

    OK in my book.
WHS, but then, I've only used them for trips to Dublin from Manchester.

I used them frequently to fly to/from NRN and MMX.

I never had a problem with them.

They were very late once when there was snow at STN and they took hours to de-ice the plane.

Other than that they were actually more punctual than LH from FRA.

And they never tried to change my flight, something LH and SAS did frequently.

Not much point really. The wording of my contract makes it pretty clear that I am a disguised employee in this case.
Don't think the fact that I am in Spain has much to do with that.

    Only used them once...

The experience of Ryanair staff / procedures once at the airport to getting on the plane - Sh1t
The experience on the plane - no worse than Easyjet / Jet2 etc.
The experience of Ryanair staff / procedures once getting off the plane to leaving the airport - Sh1t

I agree they are the cheapest of all the carriers, but I always look to book EasyJet where I can as this has always been hassle free, but if I found one of their free flight offers for the time I am travelling then I would try them again - I honestly believe the staff could not be as rude / unhelpful as that again.

Living in Spain and commuting by el-cheapo airline is not viable long term. Unless you work remotely, you need to be located near your business partners or at least have a reliable alternative means of getting there.

I've used them once, the cabin crew were giggling amongst themselves during the safety brief. I won’t use them again.

They are by far the cheapest flight for my journey, and I suppose you do get what you pay for. Used every week for the last 4 months, only been delayed twice (35 minutes max).

It's not even as though the evening flight has been cancelled, they've just booted me onto an earlier one because of over booking! Thats what their help line told me. They charge 1 Euro / minute too cheeky c***s !
