Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought there were other time zones as well.

However, according to CUK, all times are GMT.

Is CUK a Borg conspiracy and have they assimilated all other time zones ?

    Is Zeity involved ?

    We need to know !

If you go to User CP -> Edit Options you can change your time zone so that CUK is not shown in GMT.

But, as Al Murray says, we decide what time it is all around the world. We (the British) created GMT which means the Germans don't sit down for their lunch, until we say its 1 o'clock!

But I digress. Our most easterly city is Gisborne, which was the first city to see the new millenium.

Hence GMT is now actually Gisborne Millenium Time.

It's a little known fact that New Zealand is the first country (of any decent size anyway) to see the sun every day - hence while you guys are grovelling around on a cold Thursday afternoon I'm already tucked up in bed on a Summery Friday morning.

Also worthy of note is that said numbers aren't restricted to integral values: for example, Newfoundland is UTC-3:30

    UTC: a fine Anglo-French compromise.

    English: CUT.
    French: TUC.

So let's call it something like neither but vaguely reminiscent of both.

Nah, UTC was invented long after GMT at least that's my opinion and no quantity of pesky factual evidence will change it

    That’s quite cool.

Apparently in the Gambia they have GMT too. A journalist asked a taxi driver to confirm that it really was Greenwich Mean Time and the taxi driver answered ‘no man, Gambia Maybe Time!’
