As I'm in the process of trying to get into contracting I bought (and read) this book.
It's one of those books that skims over most of the key topics. Therefore it's good for first timers as it gives you an idea of topics you need to find out more about.
I would say if you're an established contractor it probably isn't worth the purchase.
Personally I found PCG's "Guide to Freelancing" a much more useful publication. Similar publications by SJD & Nixon Williams also provide a decent overview of contracting, albeit at a very high level.
