    We don’t. I am wearing boots with zips. Shoelaces do have a place though, on sports shoes. They allow a very precise adjustment of tightness at several different points along the foot, and give 16 stone back row forwards an excuse to stop and have a breather from time to time.

    no but i did see one explode in spectacular fashion on the m11 once.

    it flew straight into the driver side window of a van that was traveling in front of me.

    actually, it might not have been a pigeon but a gull of some sort. it was like flying into a feather-storm.
