Does anyone know what date they will choose to base the rate on? The day they receive it? The day it enters their system properly? The day it clears? I opted for them to only credit my account once the cheque had properly cleared from the US bank it was drawn on.

Russia, China and India are all collapsing slowly - just look at their stock markets.
Russie NEEDS Europe and USA - it does NOT like them but THEY are it's consumers -
China - Yes with over $1.9 Trillion in foreign Reserves you have a point - BUT it is in USD! If USD collapse China will be in severe problems. Yes they are trying to move to Euro's as their currency and have started paying for oil in Euros, but to offload that amount of currency will self defeating.
India - Massive tragedy waiting to happen -
China and India are around 18 months behind what WE are seeing now - but when it hits them - it will be VERY bad

So, prey tell, exactly what is there left to destroy?

....and a "terrorist incident" will only occur sometime within the next 10 days as a last attempt by the GOP to get McCain elected.

The currency is being pushed down due to Forex tradining mainly - and the false sense of security right now and the bad news being revealed in the UK Economy. Within 6 months itll bounce up - by then USA will be in deeper tulip with very high unemployment and I wouldnt be surprised if we see over $2.
