I think it was relevant as the Pope now seems to be aligning himself with what Islam has always said.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostAccording to wikipedia, that's an expression of approval. Rather like "Praise the Lord...

Only an Idiot would fail to see that terrorism is behind the crises.Originally posted by DS23 View Posthow long before the whole crisis is blamed on terrorists?
a crack team team of islamic fundamentalists went to the united states and bought houses using the dodgiest of mortgage deals. they filed over a million mortgage requests and then scarpered.
Only problem being - they are the Enemy within - and they are not haging out in caves.
The Men of Unlimited Greed from Wall St and the City who are set to walk off with a massive State Bailout to fund their lavish lifestyles - Im sure they are all very obliged men.

The secular culture, yes. The established/state churches in the UK, yes. The churches in the USA which seem more focused on hate than love, yes.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostThe Bible may have done, but the (so called) Christian Western world has long since stopped following the teachings of Christianity.
But there are still some reasonably biblically sound churches and families of churches. Of course, they get labelled as cults for encouraging tithing, and as bigoted for promoting marriage and saying men and women are different...

We will have to agree to differ there. I can see how even Islamic fundamentalists believe that they are following Islam (they may be the only true followers). I can not see how the majority of claimed Christians are following the teachings of Christ.Originally posted by snaw View PostYou could say the same of Islam.
