The problem with using Frenzy is that you take double damage, although you are attacking with a 33% increased frequency.

Life Transfer skill

I find that this is one of the better Elites to use because of the simultaneous degen / regen capabilties, plus the AoE impact so that you can hex multiple enemies at the same time, making it difficult for monks to remove the hex or heal them all.
