That's why I use Autoroute, TomTom and a good old fashioned A to Z.

I hate being late for meetings, I can't imagine that you performed to your best in those circumstances.

I use Google Earth. It came in very useful three years ago when I couldn't find a decent street map of Belgrade.

I turned up late for my latest 'business to business introduction' and still got the gig. Shouldn't make a lot of difference, if it did, probably wouldn't want to work there, as the client would be in for a lot more disappointment as the contract went on.
