hope she carries on on the mend OK!
re "something slipped in drink" - when this kind of thing happens, that is something that gets suggested a lot but when it gets to brass tacks it's very rarely the real explanation. Eating/drinking something dodgy/far too much is a lot more common. (I know that doesn't actually help matters..)

I reckon she caught it at work. You know how dirty the hospitals are...alledgedly....Originally posted by SandyDown View Posthmmm, doubt the pub story, think the hubby done her in
Seriously though...good to hear things are improving. I guess she's better off at home though...

My best wishes for her recovery. A truly awful story. Sounds like an especially virulent strain of E-Coli or Salmonella, that has caused some complications. Nasty.

For any particular combination of symptoms there's all sorts of possible causes. That's why they always say if you've had an overdose, or inadvertently drunk bleach, to take the bottle with you.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostHow come they don't know what type of poison was used?

I am at home now. The missus says the nurse is off the critical list.

Jeez, that's awful.
Top tip for blokes is to only drink bottles, and carry them with you that way you can be sure nothing has gone in it.
Obviously its harder for women to do this as they tend to have a drink then go the dance floor and return to the drink.
