    Cats are carnivorous and their kidneys are notorioulsy unable to cope with stuff that any other animal could happily deal with. Eating anything plant related is a probably bad idea for a cat.

    oops. 'What I meant was celery is bad for cats.' I was having a debate with a vegetarian recently about poisons in meat and I couldnt get him to accept that nearly all veggie material is poisonous in some way to something.
