Of course it has more money but it's no less tacky than Blackpool, what do you expect for a city built on vice? Much more scummy than I expected. It's worth seeing, but there are far better places to visit in the USA.

I haven't been for 20 years but the back streets at night were defo seedy when I was there ie. hookers and heroin. Once daylight broke everything was squeeky clean again ! It was great as a skint backpacker as you could get fed and pissed for nowt in the casinos and gawp at very good looking women in the posh hotel pools by day.

Actually the Casinos are worth it for a visit let alone actually gambling any money. When I went the Venetian was being built, but what I've seen of it could be worth it. You also have a mini Paris - now who could resist a romantic evening which takes in both Venice and Paris (even an erstaz one)

I had a better experience on a gondola in the Venetian than I did in Venice!
