I predict (with some degree of certainty) that it will make up 100% of the work in the public sector.

Didn't Lord Kitchener turn down a young lieutenant Winston Churchill for something or other back in the 1890s, an Expedition to Egypt I think, because he was worried Churchill would write a critical book about the campaign?

If he really can't let go, he should stand for parliament, get elected, work his way up the party ranks, become prime minister, and then take revenge on the whole country. ( I wonder how many PMs were turned down for SC work some time in the past. It would explain a lot. ).

They've probably got your name mixed up with some high up member of Al Qaeda. Expect a 3am raid and a trip to Cuba any time soon.

You're a contractor. Life is unfair. Move on, get a better contract. Laugh all the way to the bank.

Not since 1990 - I have a foolproof way of avoiding getting speeding fines.
Aha..another member "in the know" :-)

For the record, I discovered the "system" in 1987, and it's worked for me ever since.

How do I write directy to that Jacqui Smith woman?

Write to your MP, especially if he is labour.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    ------------------
    1. Do some database extracts and copy them onto CDs. Post the CDs to someone. Anyone, really.

    2. Make sure they give you a laptop. Leave it in the back of a taxi.

    3. Should you manage to get your mitts on any protectively marked paperwork, then a train journey is in order.

Sorry, I just can't let this go.

I was told by the agency and the HMPS that I'd failed SC security clearance. But the HMPS HR dept head office in London have said I didn't fail security clearance but "pre-employment checks". They also like to say at the end of every piece of correspondence that there is no appeal process. However, I've found this:

    http://pso.hmprisonservice.gov.uk/ps...-procedure.htm

Something stinks here.....there is no way I have been treated honestly or fairly as the recruitment code aims to achieve. I think I need a solicitor. However, any free advice from u guys would be welcomed.

    Mike
