    Has the licence been found yet ?

    I've been thinking about this all day and wondered if the situation has been resolved ?

    This has been one of the most interesting and thought-provoking posts for a long time, much better than all the pikey posts about house prices, divorces, war on terror, etc, which are, lets be honest, boring.

    I have sorted the problem of the lost socks. I got 15 pairs of identical completely black without any pattern black socks. NO there is no issue of mis-matching and if I lose one the other of the pair can still be paired to another.

    I have sorted the biro/pen issue as well. I was given a very nice expensive pen by my wife at some anniversary. I now always keep that in my pocket and never use other/random pens.

    And when I "lost" my passport on my first contract in the Middle East - I later found it in a trouser pocket in my wardrobe. I suggest you check there for your drivers licence immediately.
