How come you guys live on the edge, given that you're earning a decent income?
Personally, two reasons:-
1. I took this contract because I was unemployed (from a permie job) for two years and was living off savings that disqualified me from benefits - and so I took the first available contract even though the rate isn't at all great.
2. I am in the process (just completed) of getting a divorce and suffering from settlement blues).
You forget the option that says "forever" i.e. those who don't have to work but can choose to work (not saying I'm in that camp yet...)
I think forever is longer than three years so it's covered. I think all of us are in theis category as long as we move somewhere cheap like New Zealand or Nepal.
