Yep. A minority of 1. The clue is in the word 'agent' - they live off your earnings.

So people do still get to meet agents? I haven't met any of my agents since 2001. I thought they had stopped doing lunches. (Which is a shame, I use to enjoy the quarterly afternoon get rat-faced at their expense.)

The end client is the customer. The agent is the facilitator, for which they get paid very handsomely.

"Agent is slim, female, blonde and about 6ft and makes me feel like a midget."

Why does seeing a tall woman make you want a midget?

For a moment there, I read "Even bought him a pint of lunch". Ah, those were the days.

Anyway, who wants to actually spend time with agents?
Not me. See no evil, hear no evil, do no evil

I've been contracting 3 years for this agency, and they charge big margins on my reasonably big rate... and all I get is an invite to their Xmas do. Which of course I avoid seeing as I don't know anyone there.

Anyway, who wants to actually spend time with agents? And do you think they really want to spend time with you lot of techie geeks?

I'd much rather be sent champagne bottles or sexy lingerie (already worn by sexy female agent).

Meeting mine today for coffee - not enough time for lunch unfortunately.

Sounds v. posh on the phone and has an improbable double-barrelled name.

I've met a couple of mine (not current one though - yet).

They usually buy (coffee, pint, lunch) - I've even had a bottle of Krug off one of them.

hmmmmm - That's still in the wine rack

Met mine a few times, small sexy Thai woman (except I can't actually say here first name!) Not a bag agency, pay on time, got invited to their BBQ in summer and they put on a Christmas do for us in a nice place in Stuttgart.

Surely you are giving him revenue so he (she?) should pay ... ?

Mine sounded quite mature on the phone but when I met him in the boozer looked about 12, I was almost at the point of asking him if he wanted a coke or an orange rather than a pint.

I've met mine on numerous occasions, and she also always stands for lunch at a decent restaurant (as in £50 per head decent).

And before you ask, cos I know you're going to, yes she has reasonably large norks...
