Originally posted by Cyberman View PostI went to Vienna a few weeks back. The main trip was to Bratislava(Slovakia) with Ryanair which cost 42 quid return from Stanstead. Both cities are well worth a visit with loads of historic architecture and Vienna is only about 50km from Bratislava for only approx 7.5 Euros return by train. There is also a ship that runs down the Danube between the two cities which takes about 2 hours.
Any tips on what to see.
Quite like the idea of a day trip to Vienna as well - will I be able to visit with just my UK passport?

Right I can achieve the same rate in the UK as I can in Vienna, what do you go for?
Food is cheaper as is eating out however decent accommodation is not far off different.
What to do...

BTW, anyone know what those two enormous buildings near to the airport are?
They look like normal detached houses, only scaled up about ten times....
There was an awful lot of building going on around the airport in 2007.
I flew BA from Manchester and Berlin Air from Belfast/Stanstead.
