WTF? Asking me to send my CV details to the client directly.....is he expecting to do any kind of work?

I was contacted several times a few months ago by an agent who wouldn't tell me who they were working for or what company they were representing.

I heard a story from someone who had got all the way to job offer without being told this.

They even expected him to accept without that information, until he made it clear that he wasn't going to do so without knowing the name of the company.

So an agent is tapping me up for a temp 10 days work - to fit in around current contract.

Only wierd thing is that he keeps using his personal e-mail (@aol.com) and he definatly has a @pimps-company mail address.

He claims that his work e-mail is broken - for 4 weeks now?

Anyone else had an agent go rogue on them?

Just forward one of his mails to his works address and cc someone else there. That should be good for a laugh. Conversely you could always think 'WTF, he's found me some paying work, shall I just take it?'

Take the work then send him a nice thankyou note to his work email cc'd to the MD

Sounds extremely dodgy. I've had it when someones moved to a different agency and have tried to poach me to the new agency. Erm, no thanks.

Sounds like he's trying to set up on his own and is poaching his current employers clients, probably without telling either of them, or you.
