I exchange spider disposal duties for the wife doing the washing & ironing.
I'm sure she will soon notice its the same spider again and again, Arthur the Arachnid is getting fed up of it as well.

I have to do my own. Mrs Gonzo only buys and wears stuff herself that does not need ironing so she refuses to do any. I do know though that she hates filling cars up with petrol and when she lived with her parents she had a deal with her dad that she would iron his work shirts in return for him filling her car up. We don't have a car at the moment but that tidbit might come in useful sometime in the future.
Its not hard though is it? I only do work shirts and that's no more than 20 minutes effort a week
The bathroom steam trick is handy if you are staying away during the week.

Even had to put up some posts and a clothes line for her to hang things on. Again I don't get it.
It's one of her hobbies I guess.

Originally posted by DS23likewise. won't let the other half do my ironing - she's rubbish at it. an easy option is to damp them down with water and hang them up. that's the shirts not the women. works for me when travelling. did it in italy a lot - for some strange electrical risk thing they won't allow irons in the hotels.
Another trick is to hang them from the shower rail and run the shower at full heat for half an hour. The steam gets the creases out nicely. Leave them to dry and they can go straight in the wardrobe.

Easy - can iron a shirt in 5 min.
