I'm crap at lyrics so I stick with instrumentals. Better for the corporate video and TV market anyway.

Or take the Marc Bolan approach and write complete twaddle, but sing it with immense style

Personally I find that the music comes easily. I have trouble with lyrics, they only come once in a blue moon so I end up with piles of half finished songs waiting to have lyrics added.
(You don't write lyrics, they "arrive" in my experience)

I'm a geek, I like geek speak,
I wear geek sheek,I'm star trek freak,
say hell yeah and sheesh on the BB,
Makes me sound cool, like some Yanky fool,
Scared of the girls, my sheets have urine swirls,
Live with my dad and mum, yeah I'm a 30 year old kipper bum,
House price crash philosophising, equity in my BTL rising,
Take a cybersex PM from Sally Anne, the fat ginga bird with the fake tan.
My sockpuppet takes more hits than SAS G, when that georgie bint tawk dirty
Earning more than threaded, new labour stealth tax dreaded,
Substitute form another guy, I look pretty rich coz my divvies are highLast edited by Bagpuss; 19 June 2007, 12:06.

why not come up with the first line and we will do the rest? (one line per post) then you will have a unique forum song.Originally posted by BlasterBatesAnybody write songs here. I have great ideas for melodies and harmonies, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to writing words.
Any tips welcome.
I was wondering about looking for poems or unknown lyrics on the Internet and putting them to music.
