Limited to £15k per person methinks, but good tax-free rate nonetheless. Am awaiting BoE rate rises before going for a fixed rate bond.

NS&I index linked - 10.25% gross for higher rate taxpayers, so the ad says at the moment ( http://www.nsandi.com/products/ilsc/index.jsp ), probably unbeatable at the moment if you are happy to tuck it away. They are not really tax free either. The rate of return relative to commercial deposits has been reduced to more than make up for the tax. Like everything from government, a total fraud.
