The area around Matlock Bath is really nice - http://www.cressbrook.co.uk/outdoors/walk41.php

Chatsworth and surrounds
Try the walk around Chatsworth and make sure you go through Beeley where you will find the excellent Devonshire Arms with well kept real ale and a great menu - the food is very good.

Get a carOriginally posted by SockpuppetLooking for some decent walks in the Derby dales that people can recommend.
Favourit is Ilam in Dovedale as there is a cracking pub which has now closed down. Any suggestions for decent walks (10 - 12 miles, moderate difficulty, not too crowded) and a decent pub at the end!

Looking for some decent walks in the Derby dales that people can recommend.
Favourit is Ilam in Dovedale as there is a cracking pub which has now closed down. Any suggestions for decent walks (10 - 12 miles, moderate difficulty, not too crowded) and a decent pub at the end!
Edit: this is the place. Usually from the national trust past this place (http://www.cressbrook.co.uk/towns/ilam.php) to the pub and back!Tags: None
