As happened with Poland, they send money back home which causes some levelling up.

I could never square this hole with Freedom of Movement.
Freedom of Movement between unequal economies results in a brain drain. The young and highly skilled move to wealthier countries. If it's a very poor country it can be somewhat offset by remittances, there are several countries pretty reliant on that. However that doesn't really apply to EE, so why was EE so eager to allow FoM?
Feck knows why the Conservatives have been supporting mass immigration.

An Albanian mayor is desperately trying to coax back the huge number of his citizens who have migrated to Britain by offering them tax-free living if they return.
The northern Kukes Municipality has lost almost half its population to migration since 1990, data shows, with the majority of those leaving choosing to head to the UK.Tags: None
