Reminds me of crossing the Zambezi before they built the Kazungula bridge.
We were in a private launch that had come down the Chobe. As we were crossing the Zambezi, the ferry was stopped a few metres off shore. An articulated lorry had tried to board it after it had set off (rather than waiting 30 mins for it to be back for the next crossing). The driver had managed to get the cab onto the ferry, but the trailer was still on dry land. We were later told it took about 6 hours to get it sorted.

Obviously it's the first one as no one is this stupid.
Either option comes with a health dose of zero respect and justified trolling until this ridiculous stories dies a quiet death.

Traffic Jam on Woolwich Bridge
Woman drives onto ferry thinking it was bridge over River Thames
https://metro.co.uk/2023/01/10/woman...ames-18070084/
"A woman who mistakenly drove onto a ferry thinking it was a bridge over a river was left bewildered.
Sophie Montague, a radio presenter and voiceover artist from Lancashire, made the wrong turn on her morning commute across the Thames last Friday.
The 28-year-old filmed the moments after she realised her blunder, as the boat pulled away from the dock and began its five-minute journey to Woolwich."
