It makes sense to have some kind of limits on the data entry screen, but anything within reason should be fine (e.g. less than 1000 characters).

hey at least you can do > 9 plenty of legacy systems won't support more than 8.

The password does not meet requirement. Password must be at least 8 characters, but less than 16 characters.
