With his "relentless optimism", Boris Johnson can do for the UK what John F Kennedy did for the US, a Somerset MP has claimed.
Mr Johnson can channel the 35th US president's ambition and inspiration, which led to the first moon landing, according to MP for Yeovil Marcus Fysh.

I have this sneaky feeling that MPs are saying one thing to senior ministers and Whips, and another thing in private...

"Boris Johnson has support of 97pc of Tory MPs, insists Nadine Dorries
Culture Secretary says there is an 'absolutely minority' of Tory MPs who oppose the PM despite mounting calls for his resignation
Boris Johnson has the support of 97 per cent of Tory MPs despite ongoing anger surrounding the 'partygate' scandal and mounting calls for his resignation, the Culture Secretary has said.
The Prime Minister is fighting for his political survival after a number of Tory MPs publicly announced they had handed in their letters of no confidence to the 1922 Committee this week, and No 10 was rocked by the resignation of four senior No 10 advisers.
Responding to the storm surrounding Mr Johnson's leadership, Nadine Dorries told Sky News: "I can promise you that the vast, vast majority of those MPs, 97 per cent of them will be out in their constituencies today, who are delivering on the promises they made to their constituents and Boris Johnson has made to them.""
