That is a bit crap. I suppose your non-vaccinated friends are quite pleased you caught covid from them as it'll prove they were right not to get jabbed as it didn't stop you catching it. I suspect you might have been a guinea pig.
I hope retirement take 2 goes better for you.

Could be worse. You could have not retired and would be losing income you hadn't plan to lose!
I'm also self isolating due to my lad and his dickhead mates acting like covid doesn't affect them so feel for you. Get better soon.

Retirement - a false start
Having retired at the end of September, I was looking forward to a period of quiet contemplation to start me on the next phase of my life. Didn't go to plan....
Firstly, having spent a weekend with some "friends" who didn't tell us they weren't vaccinated until after our visit, and who proceeded to cough all over us, it was inevitable when it turned out they had COVID that we would also be infected, and so we were. Cue two weeks of isolation.
That was swiftly followed by another period of isolation, followed by an operation which is taking several weeks to recover from.
And the last couple of days I've been having chest pains, which the doctor thinks might be pleurisy!
I plan to restart my retirement in January.
Merry Christmas
