Number One daughter's significant birthday. Semi surprise party arranged for this Saturday, people coming from far corners of the realm, food, booze and tasty and pretty stuff all arranged, all plans in place, hours spent making the garden look lovely and weatherproof (just in case).

Then the guest of honour calls - went to their local for drinkies last Saturday and has now been tested positive for Covid and is into 10 days isolation.
