AWS is a goldmine as they lock you into their eco system with their way of doing tech integration but that's true of all these cloud companies. If a deal I'm working on comes off I'll be supplying server infrastructure to a client and they specified AWS. But looking at the costs ~£4K/ year for the hosting services I think will be required I'd rather take a first year hit and supply a much more powerful custom server from myself which along with data centre fees will be ~£5K up front and then £1K/ year. So from year 2 I'll be making £3K/year above the profit margin and have spare capacity to use elsewhere

    And campervans.

Really pleased for you MF, and I am looking forward to future updates.

*I bought 25 Weinsberg Carabuses in the winter for delivery in May. The deposits for 2021 & 2022 rentals have already paid for the fleet. It's not as glamourous as the supercar fleet, but with cleaning, maintenance and delivery outsourced, I am digging the fact that all I have to do is take payment and manage cancellations/chargebacks.

This crap about them being a 'TECH' company is bollocks. They're making money hand over fist.

They have done something which is quite Illegal regarding EU VAT. They've been collecting VAT off Sellers & their fees while based in Luxembourg. Their own T&C state that sellers don't have to pay it, but they collected it and by our estimate they are sitting on BILLIONS of unpaid tax they've taken illegally off sellers.

It's not known about in the press (YET) but will be in due course. Should be a PPC type scandal.
50% of Amazons revenue is from AWS, they are a tech company

Planning ahead has never been your strong point, eh?

All in all it's clear that eek's dirty spekulant business has got far more finesse and also profits.

I think AWS makes them most profits, well, that and mugs like you who think they can beat Bezos at his own game.

No AWS makes them the most.
And Beat Jeff at his own game? I didn't see that. I now work for Jeff, but as a disguised employee.

Flip me, Amazon can deliver a swimming pool?!

God, they're good, no question, and they must use the best drivers who can cope with all that sloshing water in the back of the lorry!

I do a lot of FB advertising.

Seems like half the world is drop shipping stuff on it when I look at the groups and subreddits.
