    Not quite, it was more for only bringing strong and healthy babies, unusually for the Times Spartan's didn't practice
    the act of abandoning surplus girls. However, they were exclusive and wouldn't have legal children with anyone who was not a citizen. This eventually led to their demise as they couldn't keep their healthy population up.
