Billionaires make an effort to ensure that people stay in their respective classes. They don't need middle class becoming rich and possibly changing their world order and there must be sufficient amount of the Poor to game the democracy using their media.

The Tories have now become the pied piper who are now trouncing the moderately well off working and middle classes. You can guarantee though that those with real wealth will be given plenty of chance to spirit their money away and will undoubtedly have been given fair warning of what's incoming.

Labour idea of those with "broad shoulders" is someone making over £75k, then middle class for them is someone able to afford Waitrose chicken from time to time. They happily waved IR35 through so your fellow contractor caught by IR35 will be paying effectively over 50% of tax.
