300Mbps from Zen Internet. Seven people in the house all using Zoom, Teams, Skype etc. along with the usual Netflix, Youtube, gaming and even some working
If this had happened 6 months earlier when the best we could get was slow FTTC I suspect that there would have been lumps under the patio by now, but we haven't so much as had to restart the router.

Virgin is pretty quick, but that's still coax from the cabinet, not full fibre. If you want "fastest", you need full fibre to the door.

You've missed everything between dialup and 20mbps... i.e. everyone on ADSL or with fibre in remote areas is lumped in with those on standard 38mbps fibre v1.
Out in the sticks we have a private overhead cable from the road up just over 100m of our drive. Nearest green box is maybe 1/4 mile up the road.
We get 30-something down, 5-10 up, not sure what the theoretical maximum could be. If they ran fibre along the road and we retained our private overhead cable, what might be feasible?

Virgin fibre which is expensive but the one time I suggested a cheaper (slower) option BGG gave such a look of disgust that I just walked away …. geeks & their fascination with speed
