    It was my impression taxes are supposedly necessary to create public services. But since the country is abandoning the model... why pay taxes?

    In this period, it is becoming more and more obvious.
    And the establishment it is doing everything it can to maintain confidence and hide that.

    As for the tin foil hat... there are some good recipes for fish with vegetables, in foil. Make good use of it.

    Because if you do not you will have your assets confiscated and/or end up in prison.

    Printing currency dilutes the value of the currency. It acts as an invisible tax taking value from savings and reducing the value of debts. Bankers like it as it encourages extra borrowing.

    We could be heading for hyperinflation where trust in the currency is undermined and there is a scramble to convert cash into goods. Then we get a reset.
