There are existing laws to stop press intrusion. Or are we going to limit press power now for every snowflake?

Well I follow friends and family & their accounts do just tend to be photos about what they're up to etc. But I also follow some fitness accounts who post video tutorials, tips and information about how to progress your training, what to eat, etc. Likewise I follow some accounts with interior design content for inspiration, some local restaurants and businesses, brand accounts, and also some funny meme accounts. Depends what you're into but I find the type of content is completely different to Facebook and more suited to what I find interesting.Originally posted by FIERCE TANK BATTLE View PostWell, what else does it offer? I thought it was a place to share photographs. Unless you enjoy photographs I am not sure why it's better than just using Facebook? Can you explain?

There is a lot of that yes, it's primarily photos and videos with some text. What you see will depend on who you follow and what hashtags etc.Originally posted by FIERCE TANK BATTLE View PostI've never used it, isn't it just full of softcore porn, validation seekers and people heavily photoshopping their lives to look relevant?
It's more a case of what less does it offer, it's like facebook lite with a much more positive environment. That does go into the rose tinted/photoshopped category yes but it also cuts out all the news articles and petitions etc.Originally posted by FIERCE TANK BATTLE View PostWell, what else does it offer? My main interest is music so I follow a lot of musicians and labels and DJs etc. I also go to a lot of music related networking events and when swapping details with other artists/producers/industry people etc Instagram is the standard.
I like seeing people I've met post selfies from the stage in front of a big crowd and post their latest videos for their new single. It motivates me to go and practice my scales/arpeggios and get that track finished. facebook just doesn't do that for me anymore...

I've seen that too, some women on my FB just circlejerk with a constant stream of stuff like that, telling themselves (and the world) what they deserve and how strong they are etc.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostThere is one of these tag your mates things going on on my FB at the moment and it's got me proper wound up.
Starts off saying ladies fix your crowns and goes on with some guff about not letting people tear us down. Post a picture of happy times, link 50 lady friends and tag one person to carry on. They the attach a picture of them having a good time.
There is so much wrong with this I have no idea where to start. F*****ing fuming.
Maybe if I post that agents won't tear me down and I deserve 700/day enough times it'll magically happen

To which the only question I would ask is how often does this occur outside the glare of the media...Originally posted by rogerfederer View PostIt could be different in England&Wales, but in Scotland the prosecution service progress cases based upon the merit of the case and level of evidence. The wishes of the victim or perpetrator aren't taken into account due to bias, be it psychological or monetary.
The CPS were correct to progress this case. The person inflicting abuse upon another was clearly in the wrong and is likely to have had other issues. The fact this person was a woman, a tv presenter and very active on social media has nothing to do with the facts of the cases or merits for binning it. It's common for rape victims to try retract a case due to fear, 'love' (not the type of love I a familiar with, certainly) and a whole host of psychological trauma that may make it seem easier to ignore than to face head on - understandably.
I appreciate you were not suggesting either option as best but I thought it a good idea to highlight that the police charge people based on a crime being committed and not based on the wishes of the victim/recipient.

But all domestic violence must be severley dealt with. Oh wait, the victim was a man so that fine. Carry on.
